Consider all prior versions obsolete and do not use them any more.Note to anyone with multiple GPUs or display devices: Due to a bug fix the game may now end up using the "wrong" device (again), or rather the correct device because it previously used the wrong one.If you are at an office or shared network, you can ask the network administrator to run a scan across the network looking for misconfigured or infected devices. If you don't have at least 2GB of space, the download can be interrupted and this can cause the process to break.Overview -------- This is an unofficial patch for Thief II: The Metal Age (T2) which updates the game from either v1.18 or newer to v1.22, providing improved support for modern hardware and correcting many known bugs.If you are on a personal connection, like at home, you can run an anti-virus scan on your device to make sure it is not infected with malware.I am getting exactly the same as this, making the game absolutely miserable and terrible to play, along with tiny stutters all the time and terrible performance. v=VGh Uf Lgmtk I Sounds to notice that stop playing: Background splicer yelling Bouncer moaning (He's in the other room) Companion sentry rotary blades Weapon firing sound Hi can you not just deal with this via PM please, it is a well known problem and I'm sure many people other than the TC, including myself, are experiencing this issue. Some people say this goes away after the intro level, so I'll try that for now I guess. My issue is exactly as described in this thread, I am also using Realtek on board sound, and also had the same issue in the original Bioshock.
Could you set this to True to see if it makes any difference.
I'm using some generic Intel High Definition Audio chip of some sort (part of a Gigabyte 965P-DS3 MB), but I've never had any problems with sound except for in Bioshock 2. It's set to "basic", but that might be enough to screw with it. My Specs: Q6600 8800GT 512mb 6GB ram Gigabyte P35-DS3L Windows 7 64-bit I have just started having similar issues since I made it to Fontaine Futuristics.
BS2 Steam Version Windows 7 32-Bit Core 2.33Ghz 4GB DDR2 Corsair ATI 4850 512MB CCC Date 11/12/09 Gigabyte 965P-DS3 Motherboard Integrated Sound 'Intel High Definition Audio' ? The audio is not cutting out though, as much as it's more tripping over itself.
It fixes a handful of mostly smaller, but also some more serious, issues. Consider v1.19 obsolete and do not use it any more.
Various documentation has been updated and extended; it's recommended that you browse through them again even if you're already familiar with them from a previous update.
